Is it time to start listing the best tracks of year already? Why yes, yes it is. It seems really early, but hey once we have one hundred and twenty minutes or so of awesomeness playlisted up, it’s time to post.
You can download any or all of the tracks at your leisure or you can stream all the songs in this mix using the Yahoo media player at the bottom left of the page. If you are using Chrome you should really think about installing the awesome ex.fm extension (especially if you use last.fm).
Without further ado, I give you the first volume of the Best Downloadables of 2011.
Oh, and be sure to check out the rest of our of best of posts.
Additionally, if you like what you hear you should probably purchase music from the above artists at any of these fine online retailers (or your local independent record store):
Also, If you want to download all (or most of) the tracks in this post, you should probably think about installing the DownThemAll! or FlashGot Firefox extensions.
Oh and the new album has the bestest title for an album this year, Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will. It comes out on February 15th.
You can preorder Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will @ Sub Pop (FYI: the first 500 pre-orders will get a set of earplugs in a limited edition earplug case).
This here post is evidence of that fact. What follows is a compilation of all the tracks that have been stuck in my head all year long. Definitely check out the top 20 tracks, but also make sure you scroll through the whole list. Perhaps there is something down there that you missed (maybe)? Or to put it in terms that are “so 2010″, these songs are full of epic win.
This is my largest year end list yet (last year’s list is here), added up this list is over SEVEN HOURS of music. It was really difficult to edit down (it started with around 190 tracks). FYI: the Top 20 tracks should fit nicely onto a CD-R (if you still use that particular technology).
Did I miss something totally awesome? Then leave a comment and let me know. Have fun listening/downloading.

It’s time to listen to some of the tracks I have not posted recently. Here is the next NOT POSTED mix. These are just a few of the songs that would get their own individual posts here on GIMME TINNITUS, if I only had the time. You should totally play this during yr THXgiving festivities. Listen.
