Melvins are getting ready to release their first album of remixes (though some might argue that Electroretard‘s reworked tracks were remixes). The album is entitled Chicken Switch and will see the light of day on Sept 29 on Ipecac Recordings. Remixers include among other Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth fame and Eye Yamatsuka of Boredoms fame. Craziness will ensue.

On 4/20 Dick Move will be releasing the debut record by Knyfe Hyts — Screming Lov b/w We Go Wanderin’. The 12″ will be available (pretty much exclusively) at their record release show in the Monster Island Basement that evening, and it will be available for free download through Pukekos for 100 hours starting that morning. We are very excited to present this record as we approved the test presses earlier in the week (they sound great!) and Zach is doing a three colour silk screen for the cover. I will be selling it at the show and handwriting each person’s name on it as they purchase it so it will be a personalized memento of the evening.
