q and also a :: Kyle Bobby Dunn
a: Andrew Chalk – “Blue Eyes of the March Prt. 1” (Never really heard any of dudes stuff before but have had folks mention the name over the years and am finding this first section quite nice and barely there – the way more music probably should be these days. Hopefully that classifies as a song?)
q: What is your most common reaction to hearing your own music?
a: Get nostalgic, emotional or heavy feeling. I suppose it depends on what song of mine I hear.
q: What is your favorite artist/band to see live?
a: Currently really like to see Lungbutter (a Montreal trio that make doom pop drone) mainly for the cute drummer they have.
q: What is your favorite venue (in NYC, if applicable)?
a: I played at St. Augustine’s in Brooklyn and that was a fantastic large space. Favorite NYC venue might be Le Poisson Rouge. It’s been many a year though so not sure.
q: What piece(s) of culture are you really really excited about right now?
a: Wasn’t aware there was any culture to be stoked on.
q: Anything we should know about your latest project (whatever that might be)?
a: Just finished a 3Lp/2CD that is out now on Students of Decay USA and a new LP with Benoit Pioulard that is out later in the year but am writing soundtrack music for some film projects that may or may not go into production this year.
