q and also a :: The Meltaways
Allie, Beck and Maddy of The Meltaways sent us these answers to our questions in this latest installment of q and also a.
q: What is the last song you (really) heard?
allie: GØGGS “Glendale Junkyard”
beck: “Untitled” by Snail Mail (from Baltimore)
maddy: “Cram It” by Gland
q: What is the first album you remember purchasing?
a: Green Day “Kerplunk” cassette
b: Jock Jams, Volume 3…
q: Is there an album you wished you knew about when you were younger?
q: What is the last album you purchased?
a: Blotter “Demo” and “Under Armour ’77” (after listening to them on bandcamp constantly for like 2 years)
q: What is your favorite artist/band to see live?
m: Probably Lemuria because I’ve listened to them for the past 10 years and have gotten to see them progress, and they are just the best. But one of my favorite shows I’ve ever been to was Electric Wizard.
q: What piece(s) of culture are you really really excited about right now?
a: Yesterday I binged the entire series of The People V. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story.
b: I’ve been listening to a lot of Barf Troop, Material Support, and Wet Brain. More generally though, I’ve been really inspired by Internet-organized political action (mostly through Twitter) and street zines like Ben Trogdon’s Nuts!
q: Anything we should know about your latest project (whatever that might be)?
m: Please get in touch if you’re into what you hear because we’d love to hear from you!
And we are psyched to bring you this sick stream of “Pacify” from the Meltaways new eponymous EP on Mirror Universe.
AND you can stream their whole new EP @ Le Sigh!
