q and also a :: Sleeping Bag
Dave from Bloomington, IN’s own Sleeping Bag sent us these answers to our questions in this latest installment of q and also a.
q: What is the last song you (really) heard?
a: “Halloween Mask” by Peach Kelli Pop
q: What is the first album you remember purchasing?
a: Now! That’s What I Call Music Volume 1.
q: Is there an album you wished you knew about when you were younger?
Diamond Life by Sade, no question.
q: What is the last album that you purchased?
Chad VanGaalen’s Shrink Dust
q: What is your favorite memory of experiencing music in a live setting?
Seeing Pavement on their reunion tour in Columbus, OH. It was beautiful.
q: We loved the demo for “Not In The Mood For Cereal.” Any story behind that track?
Thank you! Our original bassist, David Woodruff, was eating cereal at a time when I wanted to go out and get a nice meal w him, lol. That’s where the title came from- the rest of the lyrics are about some ex probably. You’ll have to forgive me, I demoed that one 6 years ago.
q: What should we know about Wet?
It’s my personal favorite of any of our records so far. One of my best friends and bandmate Tyler Smith and I recorded it together. Had a blast doing it- forgot all our troubles, got faded a bunch, got wrapped up in our work. It’s a weird one, but I think it’s crazy enough to work.
