stream these :: currents + w. baer + Drunken Sufis + The Rubs + Beech Creeps + Minidresses
So, here is this week’s round up of all the necessary audio/video streams. I’m pretty sure that I am leaving something out, so leave a comment and let me know what’s missing. Or not.
Listen.
Boston post-whatever band currents has a wacky/violent new video for their track Build Ups. Watch it. Grab their EP @ currentsma.bandcamp.com.
where you fit. is the debut track by Burbank ambient dissonance artist by w. baer. Preorder the LP, Spalting @ hushhushrecords.bandcamp.com. If you are wondering what “spalting” is, it’s the process of wood coloration caused by fungi (mainly) in dead trees. Oh baby.
The avant spazzpunkers known as Drunken Sufis have a new project called Cotton Candy Cluster Bombs. Go to the release show on 4/29 at Palisades and buy a physical representation of the music on optical media. Listen to M^M^M.
And they are releasing music videos for all the songs on the album, 26 in total (yes, one for each letter). Watch the videos on the Drunken Sufis tumblr: americansfuck.tumblr.com.
Here is one of the videos to get you started, D^D^D
Check out Until He’s Mine off of upcoming The Rubs Are Trash LP by Chicago’s own The Rubs. This is an awesome slice of trashy power pop right here.
And dig the album art…
One of GT favorite documenters of the scene, nyctaper, put up a recording of Beech Creeps live at Union Pool from their show last weekend. Dig it (and come see them play BKNB on 2/24).
Finally, Minidresses dropped a dreamy new track called Bracelets off their upcoming Four EP. Pay what you want for Three at minidresses.bandcamp.com and/or buy a tape at Little Death.
AND I did not even get to the new Clean Girls (but I will later, k?)
AND remember there’s always lots to stream at the GIMME TINNITUS Soundcloud or the GT Youtubes, and also at the GT Tumblr too.
