It is time for the next volume of the Best Downloadables of 2011.
You can download any or all of the tracks at your leisure (with the usual right-click or control-click) or you can stream all the songs in this mix using the Yahoo media player at the bottom left of the page. If you are using Chrome you should really think about installing the awesome ex.fm extension (especially if you use last.fm).
Oh, and be sure to check out the rest of our of best of posts.
Additionally, if you like what you hear you should probably purchase music from the above artists at any of these fine online retailers (or your local independent record store):
Also, If you want to download all (or most of) the tracks in this post, you should probably think about installing the DownThemAll! or FlashGot Firefox extensions.
So, experimental Brooklyn poppers Dinosaur Feathers have decided to drop a new single, while they continue to work on their sophomore LP. They are “hard at work” with Eli Crews of Tune-Yards, Deerhoof, and Thao & Mirah production work fame. This track right here should be getting you all excited for the next album. Listen.

We are psyched to have a couple tracks from the new Shark? LP, True Waste. The digital album is set to be released on May 24 via the Oops Baby Record Label. The band worked with former Pere Ubu bassist Tony Maimone to craft their sound while recording the album. Listen.

This here post is evidence of that fact. What follows is a compilation of all the tracks that have been stuck in my head all year long. Definitely check out the top 20 tracks, but also make sure you scroll through the whole list. Perhaps there is something down there that you missed (maybe)? Or to put it in terms that are “so 2010″, these songs are full of epic win.
This is my largest year end list yet (last year’s list is here), added up this list is over SEVEN HOURS of music. It was really difficult to edit down (it started with around 190 tracks). FYI: the Top 20 tracks should fit nicely onto a CD-R (if you still use that particular technology).
Did I miss something totally awesome? Then leave a comment and let me know. Have fun listening/downloading.
