Andrea Havis (formerly of GT favs Susu) put together another single for her solo(ish) project, Su. The single was recorded for free at Converse Rubber Tracks (who do not retain any ownership rights in the music that is recorded there). She is currently writing songs for a full length, which she is hoping to steer in a slightly heavier direction. Said LP should be ready for release next Spring. It should be noted that Havis has been working with one Billy Perez who plays bass, synth, wurlitzer, and theremin on this track.
You can stream all the songs in this mix using the Yahoo media player at the bottom of the page OR if you are browsing with Chrome you can play (and scrobble) the whole page using the ex.fm extension OR you can just download any or all of the tracks at your leisure and play them using a digital media player of your choice. You have many choices ahead of you. Listen.
If you haven’t done it already, make sure you check out the other monthly mixes.

This here post is evidence of that fact. What follows is a compilation of all the tracks that have been stuck in my head all year long. Definitely check out the top 20 tracks, but also make sure you scroll through the whole list. Perhaps there is something down there that you missed (maybe)? Or to put it in terms that are “so 2010″, these songs are full of epic win.
This is my largest year end list yet (last year’s list is here), added up this list is over SEVEN HOURS of music. It was really difficult to edit down (it started with around 190 tracks). FYI: the Top 20 tracks should fit nicely onto a CD-R (if you still use that particular technology).
Did I miss something totally awesome? Then leave a comment and let me know. Have fun listening/downloading.

We here at GIMME TINNITUS have been detracting slightly from your concert experience all year long. We take photos at shows. We know… we know we are annoying. That said, we do out best to keep it to a minimum and usually don’t use a flash (which is why so many of these photos need a little “shopping”). Join us in reliving some of our favorite moments from some of the concerts we have seen during the past year. Look + Listen:

Brookyln’s Andrea Havis was 1/3 of Susu. Since the demise of Susu, Havis has taken some time to put together some “avant-folk meets a TR-707″ “sketches” under the moniker, Su. She declares that this is “a very relaxed departure from music I have worked on previously.” Listen.
