Friday, February 18th, 2011

Sam Sundos of The Sundelles sent us these answers to our questions in this next installment of q and also a.

q: What is the last song you (really) heard?

a: She (youtube) by Gram Parsons

q: What is your favorite beverage?

a: Coffee

q: What is your favorite band to see live?

a: Kurt Vile

Listen: Freeway (mp3)

q: Anything we should know about your latest project (whatever that might be)?

a: We are about to self release our first album, Georgia Swan, digitally. No exact date yet but we’ll definitely let you know. We are also going on tour in March and playing some really great shows here at home with Ty Segall, the Obits and Cloud Nothings.

best of 2.01k :: Favorite Photos

Monday, December 27th, 2010

We here at GIMME TINNITUS have been detracting slightly from your concert experience all year long. We take photos at shows. We know… we know we are annoying. That said, we do out best to keep it to a minimum and usually don’t use a flash (which is why so many of these photos need a little “shopping”). Join us in reliving some of our favorite moments from some of the concerts we have seen during the past year. Look + Listen:

mp3 :: The Sundelles > Kiss The Coast

Saturday, September 11th, 2010

The Sundelles quite recently finished recording their first full length album. They were working with Mr. Tony Maimone (of Pere Ubu fame) at Studio G in Brooklyn. The band says it’s “totally a step in a new direction, fidelity wise, but its still true to our writing style.” The name of the album is Georgia Swan, and right now there are no definite plans to put the album out as the band is looking for a label to give it a proper release. The sound on the LP is definitely poppier and less fuzzy than their last recording, but I am going to bet that it slays live. We are very glad to post a track from Georgia Swan right now. Listen.

Downloadable: Kiss The Coast (mp3)

Last night the band played Bowery Ballroom with Beach Fossils and 1928 Recording alums The Soft Pack. There is a second show tonight with Oberhofer on the bill in place of Beach Fossils. You should totally go.

Upcoming Shows:
Sept 11 (uh, tonight!) @ Bowery Ballroom w/ The Soft Pack & Oberhofer

Sept 24 2010 @ Cake Shop w/ Hogler & Babies & Garotas Suecas
