mp3 :: USF > Point Break II

Monday, January 17th, 2011

So, Jason Baxter and Kyle Hargus are no longer known as Universal Studios Florida. They are now just USF, which means that they are competing with University of South Florida and the “Herd of Thunder” for search result dominance on Google. Googleability aside, the duo has a new 12″ EP called Jamaica Plain which come out February 8th via the Highfives and Handshakes label. Let them take you to “fantastical sonic realms”. Listen.

Downloadable: Point Break II (mp3)

In fact you can stream the whole EP, via the Bandcamp streamer dealie below.

mp3 PREMIERE :: Foot Village > Lovers With Iraqis

Monday, September 20th, 2010

Foot Village is getting ready to roll out a new 7″ on How To Fight Records in late October. The drum ‘n’ shout band have designed the Lovers With Iraqis/Totally Tween 7″ as “a guidebook for the forthcoming apocalypse,” with a song of hope and a song of doom. Here is the song of hope. The message is simple: “the most important thing to remember is that life should be about having fun and sharing love with all those around you.” Listen.

Downloadable: Lovers With Iraqis (mp3)

Oh, and the vinyl comes with digital download, plus a download of remixes from Bobb Bruno of Best Coast, Yip-Yip, and Universal Studios Florida (the 7″ + the remixes = the Lovers With Iraqis EP). You can stream most of the tracks using the bandcamp widget below.

Streamable: Lovers With Iraqis EP (bandcamp)

The 7″ art is printed on temporary tattoo paper with two copies included (one for pristine preservation, the other for cutting up). The tattoos look like this.
