Superior Viaduct is independent record label known for reissuing early Bay Area’s punk (1978-1984). Well, they are getting ready to put out their first non-Bay Area reissue, the 1983 self-titled album by 80’s SoCal punk trio 100 Flowers.
Originally known as The Urinals, 100 Flowers‘ name change was inspired by a 1956 quote arising from Chairman Mao Zedong’s brief flirtation with liberalization, “Let a hundred flowers bloom; let a hundred schools of thought contend.”
These sixteen tracks of classic LA punk will be available on vinyl on February 5th. Here is a little preview of the LP.
