q and also a :: The Sky Drops
Grungegazers Rob Montejo and Monika Bullette a/k/a The Sky Drops sent us these answers to our questions in this next installment of the q and also a series.
q: What is the last song you (really) heard?
q: What is your favorite beverage?
r: Cold Heineken in a can
m: Hot cup of coffee made at my folk’s house
q: What is your favorite band to see live?
m: any Nick Cave project
No Pussy Blues (youtube) by Ginderman
q: What is your favorite venue (in NYC, if applicable)?
r: I usually enjoy shows at the Bowery Ballroom.
m: Johnny Brenda’s (isn’t Philly the 6th Borough?)
q: What piece(s) of culture are you really really excited about right now?
m: I must say the The Met’s production of The Ring of the Nibelung is fascinating and monumental. Wagner would be proud of “The Machineâ€! Can’t afford the real tickets but the seats in my local movie theatre are comfy and the simulcast provides close-ups and interviews with the stars as they exit the stage. Looking forward to seeing what they do with Siegfried this fall.
r: The rediscovery of my painting.
q: Anything we should know about your latest project (whatever that might be)?
r: We’re looking forward to touring in September and October to promote our latest release, Making Mountains. We also working on new material for a possible 2012 full length…
